Our latest player Q&A features our very first junior golfer from Sweden!  We spoke with 6-year-old, Noah Lobelius and his Father Joakim, about Noah’s love of golf.  Noah is a fantastic lefty and affectionately known as @Noah_The_Golfer on Instagram, you can check out his amazing talent here, do give him a follow!

Tell us about yourself!
I am a happy little boy from just outside Stockholm in Sweden.  My biggest interest is golf, football, floor ball and playing with my friends. My favorite food is Avocado Sushi and I love ice-cream.

What is your first golfing memory?
As long as I can remember me and Dad have gone to the golf club instead of the playground.  So, my first memory is when I was around 3 and made a 3-meter-long putt.  We celebrated all day and I got my favorite ice-cream.

What’s the best thing about golf?
The best thing is that it is fun and my golf buddies.  I just love to hit the ball with different clubs and to figure out how to put the ball in the hole.

Who is your golfing inspiration/favorite player?
Oh wow, that is many. I watch the PGA tour on TV with Dad and I have a lot of favorites.  From Phil Mickelson to Matthew Wolff and of course all the Swedes. But one young guy that I follow a little extra is Akshay Bhatia, because he is lefty, have glasses and he is cool!

What’s the best shot you’ve ever played?
Last summer I did hit the green from yellow tee on a short par 3 hole at my home course.  It was 110 yards, and I used my Driver. I  did stop just 10 feet from the hole.  And a couple of weeks ago I made a hole in one in a Trackman golf studio on the game Bullseye.  It was 55 meters and I used my 7 iron.

What’s in the bag?
I have a junior set of Callaway XJ HOT, Driver, Hybrid 3 and 5, a 7 and 9 iron and a wedge. My putter is a junior Odyssey 2-ball.

What is the best part of your game?
Chipping with my wedge, it is so fun.

What areas are you working hard to develop?
The consistency with my Driver

What are your golfing ambitions?
To have fun and to win over Daddy.  One day in the future I will try to enter a competition but that will be in a couple of years. Here in Sweden, we do not compete before you can manage to play without caddy.

If you could play any course in the world, where would it be?
TPC Sawgrass, hole 17!

Who would be your dream Four-ball?
It will be Phil Mickelson, Akshay Bhatia, Daddy and me 😊

Thank you so much Noah and Daddy for speaking with us.  Keep enjoying your golf, practicing and we’re sure you’ll be hitting competitions very soon.
