Many of you have asked about these, since our launch and whilst they were due to be part of our launch collection, we had to hold back to make sure they were perfect!

Here’s why…

In June 2020, when the idea of creating a children’s golf brand, got into full swing, we created a list of junior golf clothing items, that we wanted to feature as part of our launch.  Trousers are an essential part of our clothing line.

As parents, we appreciate the need to find clothes that look good, but also feel good.  Buying for your children, is very different from buying clothes for yourself.

Early on in the creation of our boys and girls junior golf shirts, we were able to find a fabric that we were totally happy with.  Ensuring our unique patterns translated perfectly onto our chosen fabric, was also key.

Initially, we did consider using a polyester material for our golf trousers (which is industry standard for most brands).  But – after consideration – we decided to go for a better quality and softer feel fabric, that children feel more comfortable wearing.  After seeing our classic style trouser in a number of fabrics, which extended the process, we made a final decision on a 95% cotton, 5% elastane blend.

Cotton is a natural, breathable, absorbent and sustainable fabric.  As such, not only is this softer on the skin, but provides greater comfort than a traditional polyester trouser.  Blending with elastane allows the trouser to provide more comfort and freedom during the golf swing.

We tested the fabric with a number of children to understand how they felt wearing them.  The cotton trouser was overwhelmingly found to be more comfortable than the traditional polyester trouser.  With the result often being that the child wanting to keep them on!

It is also important for us to ensure the trousers are suitable for children.  The trousers feature a popper button and zip fly, for easy, independent fastening and the internal adjustable waistband, allows parents to ensure a more bespoke fit for their child.  Belt loops also allow room for additional support, if needed.

The classic straight-leg fit, provides a nice, fitted feel, which performs effectively in all weather conditions.

What Sizes Are Available?

As with all of our junior golf clothing, our sizes are for children aged 4-11 years old.

Sizes available include:

4-5 years;
6-7 years;
8-9 years and
10-11 years.
