Our latest Q&A comes all the way from Melbourne, Australia!  5 year old, Billy – from Melbourne – is golf mad and is proving to be quite a natural.  We spoke with Billy and his parents to learn about his love for golf and how it all began!

Tell us about yourself!
Ever since if been able to walk I’ve had a golf club in my hands, I’m 5 years old and the youngest of three children in my family (So some would say the spoilt one but I don’t agree). I’m golf mad, but love any sport that involves a ball. I have just started primary school and although love my friends would prefer to spend my days on the greens. I practice almost every day, everyone in the house is used to the foam practice balls whizzing around, so far I’ve been pretty lucky and haven’t broken anything!

What’s your first golfing memory?
Playing Putt Putt with Dad.

What’s the best thing about golf?!
Hitting big drives.

Who is your golfing inspiration/favourite player?
Daddy, Pa and Rory.

What’s the best shot you’ve ever played?
Wedge on a shortened par 3, almost a hole in one.

What’s in the bag?
Smacker (Driver) Slicer (Hybrid) 6, 8, W, SW and putter.  All US Kids Golf equipment. Luc the Duck head cover for Jarrod Lyle. We use Dad’s Pro V1s for comps.

What is the best part of your game?
Driving

What areas are you working hard to develop?
Putting and bunkers.

What are your golfing ambitions?
Play professional golf with Rory.

What positive impact does golf have on your family?
We all get to go and watch Billy and his mate Zac play in tournaments. Good family time outdoors.

Who is your biggest fan?
Daddy

If you could play any course in the world, where would it be?
Augusta

Who would be your dream Four-ball?
Jordyn (Cousin) Daddy and Zac Wolfe (Golfing mate)
